Latest InformationThe forth Business Study Workshop for fiscal 2014 was held.

JCIA holds business study workshops with the aim of taking advantage of the information provided by the workshop and would like executives and regular employees of the member societies to have better understanding of the domestic and international themes, in which the member societies are highly interested and which are likely to have an impact on their cooperative insurance operations.
The forth business study workshop for fiscal 2014 was held as follows,

- Date: Wednesday, 28th January, 2015
- Venue: Lecture Hall, Shinjuku Historical Museum
- Theme: Update on the IFRS "Insurance Contracts" and the study of its impacts on the cooperative insurance
- Lecturer: Takanobu Miwa, Partner, CPA, KPMG AZSA LLC

Mr. Miwa gave a lecture clearly on the environment surrounding the commercial insurance/cooperative insurance and significance of learning the IFRS, the summary of the proposal for the Exposure Draft in 2013, the discussion progress after the draft as well as the schedule in future and the study as to its impacts on cooperative insurance by IFRS and so on.
As many as 49 people participated in the workshop mainly from a wide range of departments of member societies of the JCIA such as management planning, account department, risk management, and product department.
